Shock Middle East appoints new managing director

Mr. Cameron Plant takes over as new Group Managing Director and will succeed Mr. Vikram Dhar, who has stepped down from his role effective December 31st 2018

UAE radio network Shock Middle East announces the appointment of Mr. Cameron Plant as new Group Managing Director. Mr. Plant will assume his responsibilities effective immediately and will succeed Mr. Vikram Dhar, who has stepped down from his role effective December 31st 2018 providing sufficient time to complete an orderly handover and to focus on some of the strategic and development plans for Shock Middle East and his own consultancy firm DMT Media FZ LLC.

“The one year that I have spent at Shock Middle East has been a very productive experience for me” Mr. Dhar said and added “I thank our Chairman Raed Zidan for reposing his faith in me. I am very proud of the team at Shock Middle East and the development the business has undergone in 2018 and look forward to continuing my association with the Group in a consultative capacity through 2019 and beyond.”

Shock Middle East Group Chairman Raed Zidan said, “Vikram has taken our business to a whole new level this year and without him, the business would not be where it is today.” Mr. Zidan continue “He has launched new stations and grown our business to levels we’ve not seen before. He has done what he and we set out to do this year and we look forward to him working on strategic initiatives with us in 2019.”

Mr Zidan continued, “We are delighted to welcome Cameron Plant to Shock Middle East as the new Group Managing Director. He comes to us with extensive international radio and media experience and we wish him every success in his new role.”

Shock Middle East operates the radio stations Dance 97.8 FM, Heart 107.1 & Radio Hala 95.6 FM for UAE listeners.
