Amazon has launched its Prime service in the UAE, bringing residents premium delivery options, TV on demand and more.

Members will get access to free next-day delivery on hundreds of thousands of products, and, according to Amazon, “nearly 90 percent of the population will benefit from a 50 percent discount on Same Day Delivery on hundreds of thousands of products” in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and Al-Ain.

Subscriptions are priced at Dhs16 per month or Dhs140 per year.

Prime TV is also included with membership, with original shows like The Grand Tour and The Man in the High Castle and access to movies. The promotional offer running until October 31 is just Dhs12 per month, with a 30-day free trial period with no obligation to buy.

Prime members will enjoy free next day delivery across the UAE with no minimum purchase on Amazon's ever-growing range of hundreds of thousands of products. In addition, nearly 90 per cent of the population will benefit from a 50 per cent discount on Same Day delivery for hundreds of thousands of products in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al-Ain and Ajman. Domestic Prime-eligible products will come from 30 categories, including fashion, electronics, books, toys, consumables, and beauty. Prime delivery benefits cover favorite brands such as Nike, Pampers, Maybelline New York, Calvin Klein, Canon, Yamaha, Fine, Gillette, Black & Decker, Samsung, Guess, Bosch, HP, Philips, Friskies, Lego, Sony and Casio.

Prime members will also enjoy free delivery in 6 to 9 business days for international orders over Dh100 on 5 million Prime eligible products shipped from Amazon US. This includes popular brands like Diesel, Ray-Ban, Ted Baker, Clarks, Timberland, US Polo Assn, Crocs, Invicta, Sandisk, Samsonite, and Philips.
