The opening game of the one-day series will be the Dubai Cricket Stadium’s inaugural match, and is expected to be played in late April.
Dubai Cricket Stadium is broadcast-ready, with television consultants involved in the development of the facility from the project’s inception.
“There will be one-day matches held in Dubai on the 22nd and 24th of April and a 20-20 match will be held there on the seventh of May,” revealed Dudhia.
“These matches will be produced by Ten Sports as they own the broadcast rights to all Pakistan matches,” he added.
Taj TV’s Ten Sports channel will broadcast the first two games of the five-match 50 over series from Dubai, and the remaining three from Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, before the scheduled 20-20 match in May.
Systems integrator, Gearhouse Broadcast had previously installed production cabling in preparation for the opening of the facility, putting in place 37 wall boxes, 33 triax camera positions, 27 fibre camera positions, 53 video tie lines, 92 data tie lines and 136 audio tie lines, all of which use Belden or Draka cable.
