UAE-based Evolution Events, which operates out of Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and incorporates a full in-house team across numerous departments, was recently supplied with a fully packed Midas PRO X Live Digital Audio System by Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK).
The system consisted of a PRO X Control surface, a Neutron DSP engine, six DL231 Active microphone splitter boxes, a DL252 box and a DN9650 Network convertor. All of these connected together form a complex, high availability system.
The Midas PRO X processes a total of 168 inputs and 99 outputs with the introduction of the new Neutron engine - the result of a three-year project by the Midas Research and development team. Furthermore, the system is fully compatible with all the input output boxes currently available in the Midas ecosystem.
The DL231 Active microphone splitter is the new addition to the input output box line-up. It operates a three-way split, two of which are independent digital preamps and operate in either 48kHz or 96kHz. The third output can be sourced from either two digital preamps or from the console outputs via the AES50 ports. This not only makes it compatible with the M32 Series, but cost effective to meet today’s demands.
“Building upon their analogue approach to digital mixing, the PRO X not only meets demands of channel count but also keeps the console operation seamless across the product line at a great price point,” said Moswain Antao, Midas brand nanager at NMK Electronics Enterprises.
“With the addition of the Real Time Analyser, Multiband Distortion, Smart Loudness and DeEsser, engineers do not need to depend on third party plugins.”
Evolution Events' recent production of the Mother of the Nation Festival, which took place over 10 days on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, saw the Midas PRO X make its debut for the company.
