This past weekend, Global Experience Specialists (GES) took home the award for ‘Stand Design & Build Supplier of the Year’ at the AEO Excellence Awards (Association of Event Organisers), which saw an impressive gathering of the event industry come together in London for the prestigious ceremony.

One of the projects at the centre of the award submission was the stand for Dubai South at the Dubai Air Show 2015. GES’ design and build team pin the reason for their success on having a global team, with the win on the Dubai South project being is a perfect example of resourcing across continents. The GES creative design team in the UK produced the concept and stand design while the Middle East team took the brief and liaised with the client to project manage the stand build in the UAE.

According to the company, winning the award for Stand Design & Build Supplier 'highlights GES’ success in the creative arena and the result of investment in its people across the EMEA region'.

Haitham Canawati, head of project management and production for GES Middle East, stated: “Our team is unique in that we understand the client’s needs and the layers within their business. We are patient and supportive while successfully delivering on promises even with a challenging brief in terms of time and detail.”

Yasser al Maaytah, managing director of GES in the Middle East, added: “As a global team that worked together on this project, we are extremely proud to receive an award that acknowledges our creativity, dedication, quality of workmanship and team spirit.
