Vuclip, a PCCW media company and video-on-demand service provider for emerging markets, has collaborated with telecom operator Ooredoo Qatar to launch a browser-based video-on-demand service the telco’s mobile customers.
The launch is part of Vuclip’s ongoing investment in entertainment for the Middle East, with the distinctive video-on-demand service delivering content including entertainment videos, movie clips, sports and more.
Viewers across Qatar can now watch over 1.7 million videos on-the-go through Vuclip on the Ooredoo Supernet. Vuclip content includes international and local clips in 34 languages, and, thanks to Vuclip’s Dynamic Adaptive Transcoding technology, customers can enjoy an un-buffered viewing experience.
Highlights of the service include offering customers the ability to maintain a personalised playlist consisting of popular videos in a range of languages, including Arabic, English, Hindi and Tagalog, to keep Qatari national and expatriate subscribers engaged.
