beIN Media Group has completed the acquisition of Digiturk, the Turkish digital platform group, from Çukurova Group and funds controlled by Providence Equity Partners.

Digiturk, a pay-TV operator in Turkey has about 3.3 million subscribers, offering a premium mix of leading sports and entertainment content across 219 standard and high definition national channels.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, chairman and CEO of beIN Media Group, said: “This acquisition represents the largest deal in the history of our group and a major milestone in our global expansion.
