UK-based manufacturer of advanced microphone windshields and suspension systems, Rycote, has announced in a press release that it has appointed Gerry Forde as its new chief commercial officer.
Forde will join Rycote’s existing board members that include CEO Simon Davies, CFO David Ransome, COO Odette Davies and non-executive Paul Whiting.
He previously ran his own Pro Audio & MI distribution business in Ireland and has also held a series of senior roles at Sennheiser including sales and marketing director at its UK business and business strategist for the Global Pro Division.
Commenting on the appointment Davies said: “We are very pleased to welcome Gerry to the Rycote team, and his role will include taking overall responsibility for leading the sales department and dynamically driving sales, in line with our ambitious growth strategy over the coming years.
“These are exciting times for us, and bringing Gerry in to this senior role reflects our long term growth ambitions. Gerry has extensive knowledge and experience in this industry, and his significant commercial expertise and leadership will enable us to deliver on our business ambitions”.
