CreateCtrl AG, a Munich-based developer of software for the broadcast industry, has launched CreateCtrl Suite 10, which aims to put customers in full control of their content at all times.

CreateCtrl AG, a specialist in media applications for the planning, management and controlling of programs, has reworked its proved-and-tested software solution in an intensive revision for Suite 10.

During the development of this latest release, usability was given priority alongside an intuitive user interface, which has been designed and expanded based on user feedback. The latest generation in Windows 10 look and feel has been comprehensively redesigned with ergonomic user interfaces. The CreateCtrl Suite 10 presents numerous expanded functionalities for managing and billing licences, as well as new features for Video on Demand (VoD) applications.

Content metadata and related contract data can be retrieved intuitively and more quickly than ever before. This means that customers can keep a constant overview of related titles and planning data.

Optimised workflows for managing licencing rights provide greater speed and higher quality in the planning process by mapping out various parameters – including broadcasting area, language or VoD type – in a multidimensional licensing rights matrix.

The company has also expanded the opportunities for collaboration with solutions of third-party providers. In the new version, importing production company’s music cues, as well as reporting licence fees to collecting societies can be automated: Via CreateCtrl’s WebAPI, exchanging metadata with external systems is realized in real time. Through the use of numerous wizards, reports can be created at the push of a button and analysed contextually.

“The result of our latest CreateCtrl Suite 10 is a high-performing media applications software family for the entire exploitation process including content acquisition, management and scheduling. Thanks to innovative features, we have achieved comprehensive workflows for managing program data – for both linear TV and VoD,” explains Wael Yasin, head of sales of CreateCtrl AG.

The CreateCtrl Suite 10 provides a tool kit for a range of applications. The core of the software consists of the asset management system ContentExplorer 10, which enables management of media content, contracts and licences, as well as the handling of workflows. The software can also be expanded to meet individual needs using additional components, such as Scheme 10 and Programmer 10 for strategic and license-orientated program planning respectively, as well as Planner 10 for day-to-day scheduling. CreateCtrl also offers the application Campaigns as an extension, which enables campaigns and on-air promotions in linear TV to be planned and managed seamlessly.
