Network Electronics-VPG rebrands as Nevion

Network Electronics-VPG has changed its corporate name to Nevion.

Network Electronics-VPG has changed its corporate name to Nevion as part of its efforts to integrate the product lines that have become part of the company following the recent merger of the two companies.

The rebranding announcement coincides with new products and enhancements for Nevion’s Ventura, Flashlink and VikinX product lines that will be showcased at NAB 2009.
“We needed a new name to do justice to who we are today,” commented Nevion’s CEO Oddbjørn Bergem. “We have some of the best talent in the industry, and have made major progress along a path that is much greater than the sum of Network Electronics and VPG.”
The announcement comes at a time of accelerated product development for the company as it announces a range of new products at NAB.
Product innovations run across Nevion’s Ventura, Flashlink and VikinX product lines, which are used in video transport for several global events such as President Barack Obama’s inauguration and address to a joint session of congress, launches from Kennedy Space Centre, all English Premier League Football events, the Super Bowl and the Olympic Games in Beijing.
