ALTV, a free streaming service in the MENA, has partnered with Media Square, a Cairo-based advertising agency to support its monetisation strategy.

Media Square will support ALTV’s expanding digital video platform through the mediums of product placement, exclusive content sponsors and advertisements. The agency will be assigned with connecting brands with the opportunity to associate with ALTV’s locally produced flagship content.

Since launching in 2016, ALTV has quickly established a growing network of aspiring content creators across the MENA region to connect, create and share daily Arabic content. A production co-operative of ALTV community, Creative Collaborative, will soon announce a full slate of premium content and flagship shows exclusive to ALTV.

Joe Di Maio, CEO of ALTV, said: “ALTV is offering a fresh approach to connecting talented content creators with engaged local audiences, which is key to achieving our aggressive growth plans to be the market leader in Middle Eastern content.

“As part of our monetisation strategy, the ALTV platform offers a unique opportunity for brands to connect with end-user audiences in a much more targeted manner than other channels such as linear TV or online alternatives.”

Media Square is owned by Mohamed Fouad and has more than 60 employees. It represents several digital platforms including food website 3ayezakol.com, sports website Kora11.com and lifestyle website Raseef5.com.
