Staging technology specialist Prolyte will debut its new range of rigging products at next month’s PALME exhibition in Dubai.

The manufacturer will also be exhibiting at Germany’s Pro Light and Sound exhibition, which begins on April 1, showcasing a slightly different range of products.

“It is simply a matter of logistics,” says Marina Prak, communications manager, Prolyte.

“We have to ship the products for PALME over to the UAE around the same time that we are exhibiting at Pro Light and Sound,” she said.

“Although Europe is where the majority of our business comes from, we are enjoying increased business in the Middle East, thanks to large growth in the permanent installation and live staging markets.”

The company will also showcase the recently re-launched Prolyft Mk III hoist.

“The Mk III has undergone a large amount of technical improvement and is now a lot more compact than it was previously,” said Prak.

“We will also be bringing back our rotating stage and gold-plated truss, both of which attracted a lot of attention at PALME 2008.”

PALME is the MENA region’s largest lighting and pro audio trade show and will be held in Dubai from April 26-28.
