Arabsat (Arab Satellite Communications Organisation) in coordination with Algeria Telecom Satellite (ATS) is holding a workshop in Algiers to showcase the latest capabilities and technical solutions for satellite telecommunications and internet services covering the entire Algerian territory. The event, which kicked off yesterday, will conclude today.

The workshop is being attended by several figures and entities working in the satellite telecommunications sector in Algeria from both the public and the private sector.

Arabsat is also showcasing, in addition to its new satellite Badr – 7, the capabilities of its new 6th generation satellite that includes four satellites. The first satellite is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2017, while the other two satellites will be launched in 2018 on Arabsat’s various orbital positions.
