Filmmaking professionals from across the UAE gathered in Dubai on Wednesday night for the first meeting of the Production Forum under the UAE chapter of the International Advertising Agency.

The evening gave filmmakers involved in video production for advertising the chance to socialise, view each other’s work on a large screen, and discuss pertinent issues with speakers Yousef Tuqan, group VP, brand marketing & loyalty at Jumeirah Group / Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, and Ali Azarmi, founder and MD of Streetwise Productions.

The meeting, which filled the ground floor of Radisson Blu’s Icon bar, kicked off with an introduction from Karen Coetzee, chair of the IAA UAE Chapter - Production Forum, and brief talks from Azarmi and Tuqan.

The main part of the evening gave guests a chance to view each other’s recent branded content and commercial projects on a large screen. Azarmi and Tuqan then offered their views on the work and guests also picked their knowledge during a Q&A session.
