Grass Valley hires sales director for central and Southern Europe

Grass Valley has appointed Stefan Weidner as sales director of central and southern Europe, effective immediately.

Weidner has held numerous senior roles in the broadcast communications industry for companies such as Imagine Communications and Harris Broadcast. Most recently, he was the global sales director of media at Rohde & Schwarz based in Munich.

“Stefan's in-depth industry knowledge and his proven track record of value creation will ensure Grass Valley’s continued success as an independent market leader in the rapidly evolving broadcast market industry,” said Jan Pieter van Welsem, vice president sales and marketing, EMEA, Grass Valley. 

Weidner said: “I see immense opportunities, working with an enormously talented team within EMEA and the wider brand of Grass Valley. I look forward to hitting the ground running”
