Apantac, a designer and developer of image signal processing equipment, will focus on IP and UHD at IBC. The company, which is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, confirmed that it will introduce new multiviewers accepting Video over IP (ST 2022-6/7, ST 2110) and 12G SDI UHD signals at the show.

“We are introducing several new products including: The Si-16 series of IP multiviewers and the Mi-8 series of 12G SDI multiviewers,” said Rudelle, EMEA regional director, Apantac. “Both are based on the successful and award-winning Mi-16 SDI multiviewer design but support different input formats. We will also present new IP and 12G SDI input cards for our high-end T# (Sharp) modular multi-viewer solution.

IP and UHD are the hot topics right now. Our goal is to showcase our new solutions in these areas and attract customers that are looking for these types of products. IBC is the ideal platform for us to be visible in front of our current and potential customers,” Rudelle added.

Apantac brought its new multiviewer architecture to the market about two years ago, and it has now expanded into a full line-up of multiviewers supporting different input formats. Many of these multiviewers are cost effective while still being feature-rich. “Our effort is now paying off and new product sales are picking up well. We also have a wide range of other products, such as converters, scalers, matrices, extenders, wall processors, fibre products, as well as solutions for the openGear chassis. They contribute nicely to our turnover,” Rudelle said.

In the Middle East, Apantac works through a dealer network with companies such as Omniotech. For this reason, Apantac will also exhibit at CABSAT, as it has in previous years, which allows us to meet our dealers and customers.

Rudelle said that while the Middle East market has recently gone through “a tough period”, Apantac is seeing a pick up and increased interest in its new range of HDMI multiviewers, the Di-16 series, which it introduced at InfoComm 2017.
