Lighting specialist Robe has been busy demonstrating its latest products, including MegaPointe, an all-in-one lighting fixture, at Prolight & Sound Middle East in Dubai this week.

The company, which is based in the Czech Republic and has a Middle East office in Dubai, said that MegaPointe had attracted significant attention at the show following its launch at Plasa in London in September.

Elie Battah, general manager, Robe Lighting Middle East, explained that MegaPointe elevates the original all-in-one fixture to a new level, giving bright sharp parallel beams, excellent gobo projection, precise movement, smooth CMY colour mixing and dimming plus a beam splitting, wash and shaping effects,

The Robe R&D team worked with Osram to provide a 470W lamp which works well with MegaPointe’s optical system. This design provides a clear, razor-edged beam, adjustable from a 1.8 out to a wide 42 degree zoom.

“We have received a lot of enquiries from different markets and we meet a lot of customers here so it’s a good platform for networking and to meet all the people under one roof,” Battah said.

He added that Robe has performed well in the Middle East in 2017. “We have had our best year this year. It’s a record year in the Middle East and it’s going further with many enquiries about projects,” Battah added.
