du has announced its participation in the region’s leading event focused on broadcast, satellite and content delivery, CABSAT 2018. During the event, du will demonstrate its end-to-end media and delivery solutions that meet the ever-evolving consumer demands and accelerate growth in the broadcast and media market. du will also highlight its partnership with Dubai Studio City as the exclusive provider of broadcast services for any enterprise setting up business in the free zone.

du will demonstrate its provision of broadcast services through an AR integration between the companies’ two stands, conveniently located adjacent to each other. Visitors will be taken on a dynamic VR experience of both Dubai Studio City and du services at both stands.

“CABSAT is an event which we continue to participate in year after year as it offers us an incredible platform to support the enterprises that rely on broadcast and content delivery services to expand and grow in the region,” said Fahad Al Hassawi, Deputy CEO, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du). “We are committed to offering best-in-class end-to-end broadcast and media solutions for our customers, and we can ensure this via collaboration with other market leaders. As the incumbent service provider, the onus is on us to continue to anticipate consumer demand and address it through our solutions. We look forward to networking with existing customers and other service providers in this knowledge sharing environment.”

“We are also pleased to showcase, through an innovative AR integration, our partnership with Dubai Studio City, and the benefits that we can offer enterprises in the free zone, particularly when it comes to our superior broadcast services,” added Fahad Al Hassawi.

Majed Al Suwaidi, Managing Director, Dubai Studio City, said: “Our participation at CABSAT reflects our commitment to the broadcast industry and its growth. In the past few years, we have witnessed an increase rise in digital consumption and the need to produce smart content that is tailor-made and is engaging. We are delighted to partner with du at CABSAT to offer a one of a kind unique experience. At Dubai Studio City, we have ensured to create a solid ecosystem that is built to support our partners’ sustainable advancement.”

During the event, the telco will demonstrate its integrated suite of satellite, fibre networks, media asset management and over-the-top (OTT) solutions for high quality management and distribution of content. The provision of such services is enabled by du’s two world class Teleport in Dubai, for which it was lauded with a Tier 3 certification under the World Teleport Association’s (WTA) Teleport Certification Program, the only teleport in the Middle East region to receive this prestigious certification.

At this year’s CABSAT, the du stand will be located at #ZB2-A70, at the Dubai World Trade Center.
