Ideal Systems in United Arab Emirates, a part of leading systems integrator Ideal Group, have added Hitomi's MatchBox to their range of products. Based in the UK, Hitomi manufactures a complete line up solution providing an extremely accurate measurement of audio and video alignment, ensuring that sound and pictures are in complete synchronisation throughout SDI and IP connectivity.
MatchBox is designed to streamline the challenges of live broadcast line up. This indispensable technology rapidly provides measurement of lip synchronisation, audio coherence, audiolevels, phase inversions and video to video timing. The MatchBox Generator fulfills all the test pattern generation and identing needs with video channel identification and intuitive text to speech synthesis. It is capable of supporting 16 channels of embedded or AES audio and support for SD, HD and quad-link 4K.
Hitomi had earlier announced at IBC 2017 that it has developed a module to provide end to end support for Dolby E. The Dolby option allows a MatchBox generator to play out Dolby E (embedded on the SDI or as discrete AES) and the analyser to measure lip sync, levels and coherence of Dolby E streams through the broadcast chain without any external decoding.
Russell Johnson - Director of Hitomi Broadcast commented on the announcement, “We are proud that major broadcasters in the US, Europe and Australia have adopted our technology. We are looking forward to working with Ideal Systems and introducing the product to the Middle East.”
