Ibtikar Kids set to invest in children's TV series production.

Abu Dhabi’s twofour54 has established a special kids television financing  division as part of Ibtikar, its media financing division.

Ibtikar kids will be tasked with funding and developing media projects catering to children.

Already, the division has partnered with UK-based production house 3Line Media to co-produce Driver Dan’s Story

Ibtikar Kids also has the rights to develop the merchandising for this project.

“We will develop the animation for this series in Arabic,” commented Wayne Borg, COO of twofour54.

“We have the rights to develop everything for this project including merchandising. Our aim is to get this series on-air during Ramadan.”

Borg added that Ibtikar plans to spend between US$500,000 and $5 million on each project it undertakes.

He also confirmed that a number of other kids projects were in the pipeline.
