DMI announces Ramadan offering

Dubai TV and Sama Dubai TV will focus on programming that explores the contemporary issues and challenges of Arab society, Dubai Media Incorporated has revealed.

 

DMI unveiled the content offering, which includes comedy, drama and non-fiction programming from across the Arab world, at a gala dinner late last month.

 

The Holy Month of Ramadan is considered a peak season for broadcasters, due to the inevitable rise in viewership which accompanies reduced working hours.

 

The media company’s bouquet of Ramadan programmes will include Zaman Al A’ar (Era of Shame), Haqqi Berqabti (I Will Take My Rights), Omr Al Shaka (Age of Burden), Hadeel Al Layl (Nightfall), Al Jeeran (Neighbours), Sawalef Taffash (Stories of Taffash).

 

With many UAE public schools remaining closed until after the Holy Month, a focus on family-appropriate content has been adopted by DMI.
