Media server manufacturer Green Hippo has updated its Hippotizer software package to include new colour correction options and support for Matrox’s dual and triple head to-go output extenders.

The software also includes a new HD-SDI card option, which allows driver-free access to card functionality.

“We believe our research and unique approach has given us the edge in the battle for low latency,” said Nigel Sadler, head of Green Hippo’s special projects division.

“Tests show that under certain conditions Hippotizer can provide class-leading low latency on HD-SDI inputs,” he added.

Hippotizer software version 3.0.13 is now available for free download to users in the Middle East.

Green Hippo has included one particularly unique addition to the software – the inclusion of two hidden games for the entertainment of production crew.

“We’re no stranger to the endless hours of waiting that some productions sometimes bring,” commented Sadler.
