Delta Sound Dubai will open a Qatar branch to meet an increasing demand for pro audio services in the Gulf nation, company director Andy Jackson has confirmed.
Although an office location is yet to be finalised, Jackson said he expected the branch to be operational by October.
The company is also in the process of shifting its headquarters to a larger warehouse in the Dubai suburb of Al Quoz, in order to house recent additions to the company’s pro audio offering.
“It had basically reached the point where we simply needed a larger space – we could barely get our kit through the door,” commented Jackson.
“Throughout the summer we have continued to upgrade our stock. We purchased quite a number of new L-Acoustics products in the V-DOSC, DV-DOSC, Kiva and Kilo ranges, as well as some others.
“We also bought a new Digidesign Profile system which should be good for our live events business. It has 64 tracks of Pro Tools and it can accommodate up 128, which we will look to accumulate gradually.”
Delta Dubai has continued to score a number of high-profile contracts in the MENA region. It provided the pro audio setup for Keane’s recent Dubai performance and worked a large corporate event for Microsoft in Egypt.
Jackson said the company has secured a number of jobs in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar for the post-Ramadan period.
