Production catering specialist The Full Monty has entered a strategic partnership with the Global Infusion Group (GIG), to bolster the administrative and developmental aspects of its business.
GIG operates its own worldwide on-location catering company, Eat to the Beat, in addition to event design and logistics businesses.
The companies have already combined to pursue tenders and contract opportunities in the Middle East, according to Nick Chapman, managing director of Full Monty and Redeye Event Services.
“Lots of outside catering is currently conducted by the local hotels,” explained Chapman. “In many cases they simply aren’t geared up to the very different challenges of location catering.”
“We now have access to [GIG’s] huge stock of flight cased kitchen equipment which can be flown, shipped and trucked to any location plus there hundreds of ‘seasoned’ catering personnel.”
“In fact we are currently tendering to provide 500 meals a day in the middle of the dessert.”
GIG’s managing director Tony Laurenson echoed Chapman’s enthusiasm over the partnership.
“I am happy for Nick to use the Eat To The Beat name and infrastructure alongside Full Monty’s if it helps to open doors for him,” he said.
“I can only see that it will create further opportunities for us both.”
Full Monty’s recent catering contracts have included the Nurai Island Project, Watani and Dubai Rugby Sevens.
