The Dubai branch of the SAE Institute has called on budding DJs to enroll in its part-time digital DJ course, which is set to commence on August 23.
Students in the course will learn how to ‘beat match’, ‘mix’, ‘set loop points’, control EQ levels and operate crossfaders, according to SAE’s overview of the Digital DJ Certificate.
Ableton Live programs will feature throughout the curriculum, in addition to Torq performance and production software.
The certificate is an entry-level course and is intended for those who intend to further hone their DJ skills and knowledge in the future, or for those wishing to refresh their existing production techniques.
The course runs for six weeks and is held from six o’clock until nine o’clock, from Sunday to Tuesday.
Anyone interested should contact SAE’s Dubai office or go to www.sae-dubai.com for more information.
Rival Dubai organisation, the Event Management Development Institute recently launched two similar DJ training courses (advanced and basic), which are headed-up DJ Chico, host of the Masters of the Mix radio programme.
