Belgian LED specialist Barco has signed a deal with master developer Aldar Properties to supply Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit with 14 large-scale LED displays.

The screens will be installed prior to the start of the emirate’s first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix, which is scheduled for November 1.

The 10mm and 14mm SLite LED outdoor displays will be scattered around the Formula 1 race track grounds and will provide spectators with live video feeds and race updates.

“Barco's outdoor LED has extremely good viewing angles and will display the live action perfectly even in the bright Abu Dhabi sunlight,” commented Mohammed Al Mubarak, CCO of Aldar Properties.
