The organiser of the MEBS and METV events in Abu Dhabi, held in conjunction with twofour54, has promised a localised conference agenda and announced an extended list of confirmed exhibitors.
According to Nexus Global Events the confirmed exhibitor list to date includes twofour54, United Broadcast Media Solutions, Associated Press, Al Dafrah Group, ABS Networks, CMS Dubai, Transtel Communication, ABC Marketing & Distribution, Eclipse, IBS Décor, Nautel, wTVision, MediaPro Middle East and the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU).
“MEBS will develop a comprehensive trade conference, tackling key issues relative to the industry sector and more specifically aligned to the nuances associated with the region rather than generic to international markets,” said Neil Manwaring, managing director, Nexus Global Events.
“No one is tackling the key topics of training, employment challenges, specifically the freelance issues, which have historically been associated with the industry,” added Manwaring.
The conference will also discuss location filming and lcensing, content financing and distribution as well as outsourcing of resources.
“Broadcasters need to outsource studio time and minimise overheads, take advantage of the region’s facilities and adopt the model currently being applied in Abu Dhabi, where you can take a smaller office and utilise state of the art facilities in the region as and when you need them, for a fraction of the costs,” said Manwaring.
