Nevion is showing live demos of its video over IP (VoIP) solutions at CABSAT. It will be showcasing its range of video transport solutions aimed at the broadcast and media industries – including real-time secure transport of HD and SD video over IP.

Nevion claims that this is the industry’s longest-reaching 3G-SDI transport, and green technology to reduce OPEX in fibre-based signal processing, routing and transport.

Nevion will show live demos of its video over IP offering which includes visually lossless compression using JPEG 2000, protection switching and variable-rate transmissions.

The new solutions aggregate video signals across IP networks for contribution and primary distribution - providing broadcasters with high quality video over IP and network infrastructure costs with built-in and proven reliability to help make their network more productive.

“Since announcing our video over IP solutions, we’ve already seen excellent customer take-up,” said Nick Pywell, MD UK operations, Nevion. “Our product ranges are all about providing efficient video transport of the highest quality for broadcasters.”
Nevion will also showcase other solutions including its FlashCase, a rugged portable housing for use with up to five standard Flashlink fibre transport or signal processing modules; its Flashlink Compact distribution amplifier and its Multicon solution.
