twofour54 intaj and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) teamed up to produce a 45-minute, behind-the-scenes documentary on the UFC 112: Invincible event that was held on April 10 at Ferrari World on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.
The deal gave UFC access to twofour54 intaj’s production, post production, media asset management and broadcast services while the content free zone secured the relevant permissions and approvals to go ahead with the project.
The doco focuses on the build up to the UFC 112 mega-event and also the action and excitement of the fights and post-event activities. intaj captured behind-the-scenes footage including personal stories of the fighters involved, public reactions to the UFC and the rise of Abu Dhabi as a major host for world-class sporting events.
Dana White, UFC president commented that this partnership will enable UFC fans to ”see everything it takes to make a mega-fight happen”.
“This UFC 112 documentary starts with the time-lapse of the venue build and shows everything that happens on fight week, from fighter arrivals and weigh-ins, event day setup, fighter walk-ins, the championship main event, and of course all of the incredible, loyal fans who support the UFC,” she stated.
Tony Orsten, CEO of twofour54 added that the partnership was “a significant milestone for twofour54 intaj”.
“In only six months, we have gone from launching our proposition to creating some truly original content in both Arabic and English. The UFC 112 event not only cements Abu Dhabi’s position on the sporting map but also ours in terms of the work we are able to undertake, both on location and in studio. The documentary was filmed on Sony F900R HD cameras and will be edited on Avid Media Composer suites. It was unclear at the time of going to press when the documentary would be broadcast.
