A range of new features will be revealed by broadcast IT and communications company PlayBox at IBC 2007.

The newest version of its AirBox playout server will support realtime transitions between clips of different compression formats. The result is the seamless transition between MPEG2, DV and H.264 coded clips on the same playlist without the need to transcode all into one format.

An update to the TitleBox platform now allows graphics creation during playout thanks to the edition of a WYSIWYG editing preview. The option to prepare last-minute graphics should help improve the efficiency of graphics workflow. Version 2.0 of PlayBox's CaptureBox Compliance Recorder can record any broadcast with the removal of restrictions on bit-rate and format. Multi-channel broadcasters can record all of their outputs onto one box fitted with several DeckLink boards. Matrox, Deltacast and Firewire boards are also now supported.

The inclusion of ASI/IP means that an ASI input can be played out as an IP stream - allowing remote compliance viewing.
