VECTORBOX will launch the new 4.07 version of its playout system at IBC 2007. The newest edition is based on coding and decoding within the operating rather than the hardware.

This means that as new codecs and wrappers appear on the market, the addition of a filter can make the VECTORBOX compatible.

Among those currently supported are IMX30/50, Mpeg2 I-Frame, Mpeg2 Long GOP, DVCAM, DVCPRO25, DVCPRO50 and MJPEG and file formats are QuickTime from Final Cut Pro, MXF, raw DV and AVI from Avid, Sony and others.

The new version will also feature a direct IP output allowing clients to simulcast over IP, satellite and cable.

The IP output can be either a compressed stream ready for broadcast or a series of files for broadcast streamed on the internet for Windows Media Player 9 or QuickTime. Version 4.07 will benefit from enhanced graphic capability with Flash animations.
