The International Advertising Association (IAA) event comes to Bahrain on Wednesday and Thuirsday and will be attended by chairman and world president Alan Rutherford, IAA executive director Michael Lee, vice-presidents, area director and board members.
IAA World-wide board member and IAA Bahrain Chapter president Khamis Al Muqla welcomed the hosting of the first IAA Excom and VP meeting in the kingdom, where business leaders representing the international advertising and marketing communications industry will meet to discuss the IAA programme and activities, including the next 2012 IAA World Congress and other administrative and financial matters.
The IAA Excom programme includes business meetings and a gathering on Wednesday, under the patronage of Information Affairs Authority president Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa on the occasion of the visit of the IAA Worldwide delegation.
The programme also includes business meetings with senior government officials and leading industry figures.
Al Muqla said that the IAA established in 1938 and headquartered in New York is a one-of-a-kind strategic partnership which champions the common interests of all disciplines across the full spectrum of marketing communications - from advertisers to media companies to agencies to direct marketing firms.
The IAA has 4,000 individual members, 56 chapters in 70 countries across corporate, marketing services, organisational and academic sectors - all involved in the branding, communications and marketing disciplines.
