Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC), the newly-formed media arm of the UAE capital, has invested in an Avid Unity ISIS solution along with Avid Interplay and Media Composer Adrenaline to cater to its growing media requirements.
Speaking about the project, Abdul Hadi Al Sheikh, director of Media Technology said: "The role of media technology is to assess and choose the right partners in order to facilitate the strategic development of ADMC and to guarantee its position on the market. We believe that Avid Technology constitutes the right partner and has the right technology and approach to satisfy our needs. We are confident its systems will support the complex nature of our company and will allow us to move fast to adapt to future challenges."
With this, ADMC hopes to centralise the management of its media and database resources, offer universal desktop access to media, future-proof the scalability for increased media growth and reduce its infrastructure costs by consolidating its Avid Unity ISIS and Interplay in a single centralised location.
"ADMC was very specific about its requirements," stated Mather Al-Ali, Middle East sales manager for Avid. "It needed a solution that was both cutting edge as well as highly scalable to accommodate the company's future growth. In addition, ADMC required that its investment be future proof, with the system able to support multiple SD and HD formats. It needed a solution that was highly resilient and capable of expansion with minimal interruption to existing operations."
The installation was completed within two months. "This project had a very tight deadline and was achieved through close coordination with the ADMC team. Avid is delighted to contribute to the ADMC development programme which is aimed at making it a leader in the Middle East," added Al Ali.
