Pebble Beach Systems has been awarded the contract to expand the Neptune system at Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), the national broadcaster of the Emirate of Dubai and one of the leading broadcasters in the region.

The contract, which represents the second phase of the Pebble Beach Systems installation at the site, brings a total of seven channels under Neptune control. Hassan Chahine, Technology Advisor at DMI, confirms:

‘We have now been on air with Neptune for over a year and we have found Pebble Beach Systems to be very efficient. The Neptune system really adds value for us, delivering operational efficiencies and improving our on air production values. Our plan is to implement a fully automated file-based workflow and this phase moves us closer to that goal.”

The system, which will be installed and project-managed by QVest Media, comprises ingest, content management and playout and includes interfaces to Harmonic Omneon video servers, Front Porch Digital’s DIVA, Vizrt graphics and Harris Broadcast Master traffic.
