Educational and training facility SAE hopes to use the PALME show to bolster the pro audio community's awareness of it's services, according to Randula De Silva, audio course coordinator.

"In SAE, Dubai has a professional institution that offers world-class training with professional who have worked in the industry and are currently still practicing," said De Silva.

The institute will host a series of free seminars during the show, covering a range of topics including drum mic'ing, digital beam steering and audio mixing, hosted by SAE experts as well as industry figures such as Renkus Heinz VP of international sales, Karl Brunvoll.

"We wanted to inform audio enthusiasts and professionals about what we teach in our institute and to provide an insight to how we can provide and showcase what we do to people who aspire to pursue a career in the field or further strengthen their skill sets," explained De Silva.

According to De Silva, SAE has seen the impact of the recession hit productions in the region, forcing them to adapt, which has in turn opened the door on new opportunities - a model that it aims to mirror in its course offering.

Sessions will be held in the seminar room in Sheikh Saeed Hall across all three days of PALME.
