The Middle East economic boom is fuelling a multi-billion dollar demand for innovative media solutions, claim the organisers of a new tradeshow showcasing the latest marketing communications technologies.
Signage, Imaging and Media (SIM 2008) will be staged at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 25-27 November 2008 and will consist of three separate events under one roof.
The main point of interest to the region's burgeoning AV installation sector will be the signage component, which will showcase the latest developments in outdoor LED presentation technology for event production and exhibition applications.
Organiser IIR Middle East claims the selection of Abu Dhabi as a venue for SIM 2008 is significant. The emirate is investing billions of dollars in theatres, film studios, media academies, TV and radio stations and giant printing plants.
IIR claims the total annual spend on advertising across the GCC is estimated at more than US$5 billion, a substantial amount of which goes into signage, imagery and media.
"SIM 2008 is a unique opportunity to meet and conduct business with decision makers in three interrelated vertical sectors," said Trevor Punt, Group Exhibitions Director for IIR Middle East.
"The convergence of these sectors under one roof presents an unprecedented opportunity for business synergies."
