YouTube hogging bandwidth

Report:Internet site accounts for over half of mobile video streaming.

According to a report from network management vendor Allot Communications, nearly 25% of all global mobile bandwidth is consumed by people watching YouTube videos, Reuters has reported.

The global bandwidth share of the video sharing portal was 22% in the first half of 2011, compared with just 17% in the first half of 2010. YouTube now accounts for 52% of all global mobile video streaming, according to Allot.
