Lighthouse LED panels have been used for the latest in a series of large format, outdoor digital advertising screens commissioned by Outdoor Plus Digital in London. Named the City of London Gateway, the screen is mounted in an eye-catching bronze-coloured structure, manufactured and installed by Peterborough-based Solutions In Steel.
Sited to be visible to the huge volume of traffic that uses the A11 Aldgate High Street and A1210 Mansell Street, the giant 12m (w) x 3.5m (h) Impact 12 screen and its structure have been designed to cover an empty plot, previously disguised by traditional poster billboards.
The structure is entirely clad in Rimex stainless steel panels, replicating the look of the cladding around the Lighthouse Impact 12 screens mounted above the Euston Underpass. Due to the nature of the site, the steelwork, screen fitting and cladding all had to be done in situ.
“The screen is sited at an extremely busy junction and, as well as a huge volume of passing road traffic, many thousands of pedestrians and commuters see it every day,” said Outdoor Plus sales director Grant Branfoot.
