After three years of negotiations, Jamal Al Sharif, executive director of Dubai Studio City stated that it had successfully managed to rope in Saudi-based TV network, Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) to set up an office in Dubai.
The ART complex will house ART's advertising and sales arm, the corporate office of AMC as well as some of its other subsidiaries.
"The facility that ART will establish in Studio City aims to develop third party international media brands, with a possibility of conceptualising and broadcasting localised programming from the free zone," commented Abdul Aziz Yamani, CEO, AMC.
ART serves a key role in sourcing, producing, and collating entertainment solutions for AMC's other entities. With the Dubai office, it hopes to further decentralise some of its programming, according to Muhyuldeen Saleh Kamel, GM of ART Sports channels.
The deal was signed by Abdullatif Almulla, CEO of TECOM Investments and Kamel of ART Sports Channel.
