Promoter Live Nation Middle East announced its first concert series in the region since its emergence in the local market.
The shows, dubbed The Season of Stars, will feature a host of artists with Sting the first of these to be confirmed. The show on December 12, will feature Sting's recent interpretations of the music of John Dowland.
"After 15 years of developing our organisation and establishing strong regional ties, it is now a perfectly balanced platform for Live Nation to capitalise upon, at a time when the UAE and the region as a whole is forging ahead with progressive and exciting strategies," said Elissa Murtaza, managing director Live Nation Middle East.
The concerts will be showcased in The Palladium, a new purpose-built venue in Dubai Media City being built by International Communications and Entertainment.
"We are very pleased to host Live Nation Middle East's first concert series at The Palladium. We are happy to have a close working relationship with Live Nation and are glad to be part of this fantastic development in Dubai's event landscape," said Raymond Gaspar, CEO of International Communications and Entertainment.
Live Nation also took the opportunity to mark its move to new premises in the Dubai Media City freezone.
