Software Generation Ltd (SGL), a provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, has announced a partnership with EVS.
The partnership will see an integration of SGL FlashNet integrated with EVS’ IPDirector. This will help broadcasters and production companies to seamlessly transfer data from EVS’ live production servers to FlashNet’s archive library through the new IP2Archive module in IPDirector.
Nicolas Bourdon, senior VP marketing, EVS says: “In the world of fast-paced sports production the power of EVS servers and the accessibility of XStore storage is second to none. As the catalogue of content grows over time, simply adding more disk storage isn’t ideal for longer-term offline storage. By integrating IPDirector and SGL FlashNet we’ve provided a seamless way for broadcasters to archive their production content.”
Bernie Walsh, worldwide sales & joint MD adds: “We’re delighted to be working with EVS to provide a long-term storage solution that improves workflow procedures for customers. SGL provides significant improvement to workflow efficiency with seamless interoperability between departments and co-development and testing with major industry vendors like EVS.”
