3D Interactive Kinectic Mapping Systems (iKMS)- the world's most technologically advanced method of showcasing visual presentations - was presented for the first time to the Middle East yesterday, looking set to change the high definition face of 3D mapping as we know it.
While 3D mapping has been a fixture in the region's events scene for a couple of years now, it's never been seen in this light before, as it were.
It is the only fully-functional mapping system of moving objects in the world, creating 3D holographic-like sculptures that work in harmony with their surrounding background scenery. Visual presentations are screened on simple grey mock-ups through carefully calibrated and precisely projected content, through the use of high or ultra-high definition projectors.
The idea is to create the most realistic illusion possible, with interactive capabilities that enable clients to manipulate the showcased object using only their hands.
Sound & Stage were present for the launch at Al Quoz in Dubai on Sunday, witnessing the technology in all its glory - on this occasssion displayed through a practice medium akin to a car launch, the platform in which this tech probably lends itself to best.
With the help of iKMS creators White Kanga in the UAE, Attitude plan to collaborate with local brands to conceptualise and execute projects using this groundbreaking technology.
“iKMS is the ideal solution for the booming Middle East – it’s the perfect tool for showcasing numerous projects that are growing here, from exciting new buildings to the thriving automotive industry’s latest models. The fully interactive and, quite frankly, beautiful presentations are absolutely breathtaking, and ensure a knock-out response from any gathered crowds,” said Ali Okhovat, Managing Partner, Attitude Enterprises.
