Abu Dhabi Media Company has invested in a Harris Broadcast Master scheduling and sales system as well as its Invenio digital asset management system. The purchase extends the range of integrated Harris solutions at ADMC’s new master control room and transmission facility in the UAE capital.
Broadcast Master and Invenio will seamlessly integrate with a previously installed Harris ADC playout automation system, as well as other products such as the NEXIO servers, Platinum routers, Videotek test and measurement devices, and a host of video/audio processing and distribution products. The ADC automation system will work with Invenio digital asset management to manage ingest, preparation and playout of content in conjunction with other solutions.
“We identified the need to improve and streamline the management of our channels activities and equally manage the digital media assets associated with this,” said Derek Holland, director of broadcast technology at ADMC. “Broadcast Master and Invenio are seen as core components of ADMC’s overall strategy of building an Enterprise Broadcast Infrastructure. We are adopting a collaborative approach to creating, producing and repurposing our media assets across ADMC’s business units, which in turn will induce workflow and operational efficiencies.
“We have been satisfied with our ADC automation system, which was installed earlier this year, and these new additions will enable greater flexibility and workflow efficiency across our operations,” Holland added.
Speaking about the deal, Said Bacho, managing director of Harris Broadcast Middle East added: “ADMC wanted to collaborate with one principal supplier who could provide an integrated solution across their workflow. ADMC is building its network around the Harris ONE approach, which will help it to achieve operational efficiencies that provide real business benefits.”
