Xavtel Communications Inc. recently announced its registration with AVnu Alliance, where the AV manufacturer was accepted as a promoter member.
This will allow Xavtel to be part of a worldwide group of companies to define the new standard of AV-Networking and to be able to integrate all relevant products for certification according to the AVB standards. AVnu Alliance is an industry forum dedicated to the advancement of professional-quality audio video by promoting the adoption of the IEEE 802.1 Audio Video Bridging (AVB), and related standards, over various networking link-layers.
The organisation creates extensive test procedures and processes that ensure interoperability of networked A/V devices, as well as promoting awareness of the benefits of its technologies and collaborating with other entities to make use of this work in their respective efforts to provide a better end-user A/V experience.
Romano M. Cunsolo, director of marketing and business development, Xavtel, said: “We are in the process of starting our certification and hope to be ready to show our first certified hardware very soon [and] to be able to provide next generation audio, video and conferencing solutions to our customers.
Dedicated to the professional AV market segment, Xavtel’s aim is to create “easy to integrate products” with no compromise to sound quality and flexibility, with competitive pricing. The recently launched Senator Networked DSP Conference and Interpretation System (Release #1), was introduced to some customers in the European market, and will be launched and shipped to the Middle East starting at InfoComm 2014 MEA in October 2014.
