Prysm, Inc., a privately held designer of total display solutions, unveiled its Cascade video wall solutions at yesterday's opening of InfoComm MEA 2014.
The Prysm Cascade video walls combine high-definition, low-energy, virtually seamless displays with touch-enabled interaction. Users are able to display, share, reposition, resize, annotate and edit all types of content on screen, which, according to Prysm, allows for a richer context of information and makes business meetings more productive.
Tim Messegee, VP marketing, Prysm Inc. explains: "We're showing our collaboration solutions - collaboration video wall, collaboration displays. Both these solutions are touch enabled and what they allow is for teams to collaborate at a whole new level and bring together content, people and ideas so that you can really improve productivity and workflow. These devices allow you to bring in live sources, bring in any kind of content from presentations to videos, and have that all up on one integrated canvas where you can see the big picture. It's the first time we've shown it in the Middle East and the reaction has been super positive."
The configurable workspaces of Cascade solutions allow teams to share use with other groups, save work between sessions and pick up where they left off when they next meet. Mirroring of workspaces allows geographically distributed teams to simultaneously collaborate for on-screen content on-screen, while projects and associated data can be stored locally or in the cloud.
Discussing both the large and small-scale options on display at the company's stand, Messegee says: "These are really intended to go into boardrooms, huddle rooms, basically we can address all types of meeting rooms, from the very largest to just the two-person meeting room."
