A leading media platform provider for IPTV and OTT services, nangu.TV, has announced that more than 450,000 paid subscribers using active devices including set-top boxes, mobile phones, tablets and PCs are now connected to its media platform.
The announcement marks a major milestone in the company’s ten-year history as it actively targets the Middle East broadcast sector. The platform, providing end-to-end IPTV and OTT deployment provides a complete solution that allows ISPs, cable, mobile and hospitality TV service providers to deliver additional value-added features.
Some of these features include non-linear, VoD, triple-screen, hybrid boxes, web and mobile applications. The open system allows third-parties to directly integrate via its published APIs allowing further development into interactive TV applications and services aimed at specific markets.
“This announcement again highlights our vast experience with a large number of active customers, showing the platform’s high-performance, scalability and robustness,” explains Tomas Padera, Chief Business Development Officer, nangu.TV. “It also shows that our media platform can span the spectrum from regional ISPs to major mobile networks with interactive television services.
nangu.TV has been particularly successful in the Slovak and Czech marketplaces, but customers outside of this region cover Poland, Switzerland, France, Ukraine and the Emirates. The company has also recently expanded its reach across Europe and the US.
"We are engaged with several large customers in the UAE region and are actively looking for new partnerships within this region,” Padera told Digital Broadcast Middle East. “Our goal is to become one of the main active players in the UAE market, which has historically been one of the key markets of foreign business trade for Czech Republic.”
