Samsung has released a new tablet device designed specifically for its core adult market as well as a new generation of connected, IT-savvy children. The Galaxy Tab S (with the ‘S’ purportedly standing for ‘Superhero’) offers a range of features that Samsung says will entertain kids of all ages - from toddlers and primary school starters to teenagers.
The Galaxy Tab S has been built with a Super AMOLED display intended to enhance the viewing experience when watching various TV shows. With an Adaptive Display, the Tab S also adapts to both the content on the screen (video, animation or internet browsing for the older kids) - and the environment.
This display technology provides the highest colour accuracy and, according to Samsung, can even help your child to learn various colours by portraying them more vividly. If the Tab S is being used for reading rather watching of video content, the display is also able to offers paper-like colours.
Samsung has tried to ensure maximum entertainment with the Tab S by working with top children’s content producers and has even brought Marvel comics to users, introducing the likes of Spider-Man, X-Men, Wolverine and the Hulk.
The Galaxy Tab S is also intended to be education, with a Samsung Kids Store that has more than 900 apps and games divided into three categories of learning, music and storytelling. The Galaxy Tab S also features Kids Mode, a new mode that provides a safe and fun environment for children by limiting the functions and apps that they can access on their own.
