Sennheiser yesterday launched its latest headphones, named "Urbanite", in the UAE. The new mobile headphone range – including the on-ear Urbanite and over-ear Urbanite XL – delivers massive bass with clarity throughout the entire frequency range.

Dr Christian Ern, director of product management - consumer, Sennheiser Communications A/S, said: “With the Sennheiser Urbanite series we´ve created a range of headphones that are incredibly robust, using durable high quality materials and metal parts that – alongside the sound – set them apart from other fashionable headphones. With a unique folding mechanism that makes them easily portable, the Sennheiser Urbanite headphones are truly ready for life on the streets."

The new range is designed for staying connected on the move, with integrated in line remote control and microphone for taking calls and controlling music on smartphones and tablets, with dedicated versions for either Apple iOS devices, or for Windows or Android-driven devices.

Speaking at the UAE launch event, Mig Cardamone, director of sales and marketing at Sennheiser Middle East, said: “The UAE has a highly sophisticated populace that demands nothing but the best. We are very pleased to launch our new Urbanite range here to meet the demands of an audience that knows what’s good and seek the best devices to pamper their ears."

A range of colour choices and stainless-steel hinges give the new headphones an urban style, while the use of metal – on the hinge mechanism and the tough aluminium sliders – ensures the headphones are designed to last.

The durable sliders and hinges also work with the super soft ear pads to ensure that the listener is insulated from external noise, ensuring comfort for long periods. And with its larger ear-pads, the Sennheiser Urbanite XL offers even greater levels of comfort.
