Piksel, a provider of software for the delivery of video, has hired three new senior executives to help develop its operations in the EMEA region.

Greig Hilton, Jason Johns, and Jonathan Steel join the commercial team under Neil Berry, executive vice president of commercial. The three hires bring wide-ranging sales expertise and market insight to the Piksel EMEA team.

Neil Berry, who joined Piksel from Ooyala in November 2014, said. “We’re building a brand new commercial team with senior firepower. These are experienced heavyweights in the online video industry, with the knowledge to drive growth in a transformational market. By bringing Greig, Jason, and Jonathan on board, we have the means to boost our footprint in our existing strategic accounts and key vertical markets looking to evolve their video monetization strategies such as online video in airline entertainment.”

Greig Hilton takes on the role of senior vice president for business development, managing relationships with Pay-TV operators, studios, and travel partners requiring innovative entertainment solutions. He previously worked as chief commercial officer at FilmFlex, the first VOD movie service outside the US.

Jason Johns joins as commercial director EMEA, and will head up Piksel’s pursuit of the sports and media markets to help them leverage Piksel’s dynamic business model, increase fan engagement and grow audiences with Piksel Digital Stadium and Enterprise solutions.

Johns also previously worked at Ooyala, where he managed new business growth in the EMEA region, within the digital media, online retail, and sports sectors.

Jonathan Steel joins Piksel as a vice president solutions architects, bringing with him over 15 years’ experience in designing and developing software solutions, specifically for the film industry. Before joining Piksel, Steel was CTO at FilmFlex, setting strategic direction and development processes for technology within the company, as well as taking responsibility for technology partnerships.
