Piknic Electronik, the brand of family-friendly daytime electronic music festivals, has been confirmed today to launch in Dubai on a monthly basis, debuting on Saturday 28th February at Dubai Sports City between the hours of 1pm and 10pm.

With the best of electronic music at its core, Piknic aims to open up this music genre by offering a contemporary and creative social experience.

Adam Fahim, co-founder of Piknic Electronik Dubai and founder of XWave Media, the organising agency of the festival, said: “Dubai’s youthful expatriate community works hard, plays hard, and is constantly seeking new alternative types of entertainment. That, coupled with the sudden explosion of the electronic music scene here, makes Dubai the perfect new home for Piknic Electronik.”

The artist line-up will feature international, regional and local electronic DJs. In addition, activities involving dance and art will be a part of each event to encourage creative discovery, while hula hoops, face painting, bouncy castles, yoga and Pilate classes will ensure the whole family stays engaged and happy.

Piknic Electronik Dubai's 2015 season dates have been confirmed to take place on 28th February, 28th March, 18th April and 9th May, with the next season kicking off in November 2015.

Tickets will be sold at Dhs130 online and Dhs150 at the door for all people aged 13 years and over. Separate wristbands will be given to the 21+ age group allowing access to certain areas of the festival. All children until the age of 12 enter for free and must be accompanied by an adult.
